GRANT RECEIVED FROM PETCO LOVE

Newly named PETCO LOVE has invested in lifesaving work of the Fix Foundation. A grant of $25,000 will help save more pet lives in the Franklin area. Petco Love is a nonprofit leading change for pets nationally by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Since their founding in 1999 as the Petco Foundation, they’ve empowered organizations with nearly $300 million invested to date in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. And, they’ve helped find loving homes for more than 6.5 million pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations, like ours, nationwide.

“This grant funding will be used to help our Simply Cats adoption program by allowing us to bring in more animals from area shelters and rescues, as well as our local community. This is going to make such an impact on the number of cats not coming into area shelters. Petco Love’s support has truly been lifesaving in our work with this program and we really appreciate their generosity by supporting our work at the Fix Foundation,” said Ruth Garriott, Director of The Fix Foundation. The Fix Foundation is a nonprofit organization that began with the mission of helping the local Franklin community by providing affordable spay/neuter services, low-cost vaccination clinics, and a cat adoption program that currently works with 8 Petco stores in the area. By providing affordable services, our local shelter has seen a dramatic decrease in unwanted litters of both cats and dogs. Since 2009, The Fix Foundation has assisted thousands of families by providing affordable options in basic pet care. The Simply Cats adoption program oversees almost 1,000 cat adoptions per year and gives the ability to assist not only our local shelter but many area shelters and rescues by placing their cats in loving homes.
