SIMPLY CATS is a program of The Fix Foundation Spay/Neuter Clinic. This program works with nine different PETCO stores to bring adoptable cats to their store habitats. We average about 1000 miles per week on our transport minivans. We provide each store with healthy, fully vetted cats that have been rescued from our local shelter as well as several other area shelters and rescues in Kentucky and Tennessee.
Through our work at the spay/neuter clinic, we are often able to accept kittens and cats directly at the clinic, ensuring some cats never have to see a shelter. This successful program adopts out about 1000 cats per year that otherwise would most likely face euthanasia in shelters. It is a sad fact that there are far more cats coming into shelters than there are homes. By using the store habitats, we present an option for those who are not willing or able to go to the shelter. We are so grateful for this partnership with PETCO and our work with the PETCO Foundation.
